2008 Deutsche Bank Championship
Short Game Keys to Success

2008 Deutsche Bank Championship
TPC Boston

Vijay Singh capped of his second win of the FedEx Cup playoffs with a dazzling performance on the greens that led to a 63, the low round of the day. While Mike Weir led the field in putts-per-round, it was Vijay who had success with the flat stick on the back-9 in the final round, draining birdie putts of 37', 60' and 35'.

Vijay, who has had putting issues in the past, recently returned to using his belly putter and this appears to have given him an extra boost of confidence. He also built himself up over the past few weeks by telling himself "I am the best putter in the world", proving how important the mental game is in golf.

With his win, Vijay has eliminated all but 24 players from FedEx Cup contention (and most of these hopefuls need Vijay to finish dead last in the next two tournaments). Not very likely...

Congratulations Vijay!
