The Texas Wedge was made popular in the South during the summers when the ground would get hard and baked out making chipping and pitching very dangerous. This shot will allow you to get close to the hole more often than anything else and if all else fails this is the easiest shot to play in golf.
1) Position the ball as you normally would for putting
2) Set 60% of your weight forward to ensure a good stroke
3) Allow the putter to move and accelerate through the ball
4) Use no wrist action in this putt along with a “Short to Long” overall stroke that will keep the putterhead moving through the ball
